丘絮絮是战后新马文坛的重要作家。他是中国南来作家，其作品早期以诗歌为主，战后转向小说。战后二十年是丘絮絮小说出版数量颇丰的时期，尤其是五十年代，出版了十部左右的小说，于新马文坛中有一定的特色与贡献。其小说内容广泛，反映教育界、汉奸走狗、商家暴发户等社会现实，值得我们关注。本文聚焦于他篇幅最多的教育小说，通过研究正反人物形象，一探南洋华侨教育界光暗交织的现象，且进一步管窥探战后二十年新马社会的状况。在研究方法上，本文结合了文本分析、历史背景介绍与理论论述。 关键词：丘絮絮 战后二十年 中国南来作家 新华文学 教育 Qiu Xu Xu played a significant role in the literary world of Singapore and Malaysia specifically after World War II. He was one of the Chinese southbound writers. His literary works mainly include poetry in the early years of his writing which he then started writing novels after World war II. Twenty years after the war was a period when Qiu Xu Xu novels were published abundantly, especially in the 1950s, when about ten novels were published. He was, therefore, said to have great influence and contribution towards Singapore and Malaysia literary circle. His novels covered a wide range of topics including topics reflecting the reality of the education system and issues deriving from the existence of traitors and nouveau riches in the society. These societal issues are important and require the attention of us as a reader. This thesis focus on studying his most extensive educational novels, by providing an overview of the bright and dark side of the Nanyang Chinese education field. Through analyzing the positive and negative images of the characters, this paper also seeks to provide a deeper insight into the phenomenon and issues that occurred during the twenty years time after World war II. This article combines the use of text analysis, historical background analysis, and theoretical analysis as the overall research method.
