The main creators and audiences of BL literature are mostly women. These women live out their fantasies through BL literature, female gazing at homosexual male as a form of rebelling against the patriarchal society. Since the official launch of Taiwan's first locally produced BL web drama in 2017, BL drama have become an important part of Taiwan's entertainment industry. As the popularity of BL drama grew, different OTT platforms have successively launched BL web drama of their own. This research centers around two BL dramas "HIStory 2: Crossing The Line" and "HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count" in the "HIStory" series. This thesis will take on the perspective of gender binary and Butler’s gender performativity, studying characters and plots to explore how Taiwanese BL web dramas construct and represent homosexuality. At the same time, the study will also combine netizens' comments to analyse how homosexuality is gazed and fantasized. In the 1990s, the Boys' Love literature, which originated in Japan, was officially introduced and took root in Taiwan. The main creators and audiences of BL literature are mostly women.
