While gameplay remains as the foundation, more and more video games are incorporating elements, including storytelling, real-life simulation and emotional experiences (e.g., horror). This final year project aims to design and develop a 2D story-driven game. This project is a collaboration among 3 students, Wang Qiyu, Du Zhanke and the author. The author focuses solely on developing the Board Game, which is a replayable mini-game incorporated into the main game. The development includes designing and building modular and scalable code architecture, implementing game logics (player and enemy AI) with C# in Unity, and implementing the User Interface. This report would illustrate the entire process of creating the Board Game, from ideation to coming up with the deliverable.
