The system aims to connect young students to the intangible cultural heritage of Chinatown by bringing them out of the classroom and into a heritage setting for a more immersive and deeper learning. The Project is a personal homage to my childhood memories of visiting the museums as a primary school kid. As a kid, I’ve always been impressed by how stories were being told in the museums. These visits were some of the few things that excited me as a kid. However, as I grew up, talks about these cultural heritage topics seem to slowly diminish. Thus, I aim to explore the relevance and importance of Singapore’s Intangible Cultural Heritage to Singaporeans today, including existing and further possible ways of connecting Singaporeans to Intangible Cultural Heritage.
