Summary: | A life cycle assessment (LCA) was conducted in order to find out if the consumption of imported consumer goods in Singapore is sustainable. This is done through analysing the environmental impacts that production, distribution, consumption and disposal of vegetables create. Vegetables have been chosen as the main commodity for this report as it is one of the top imported products into Singapore. Out of the different vegetables imported into Singapore, spinach originating from China and Australia were selected and compared accordingly. |
