Summary:Resource management algorithms attempt to tackle on-demand manufacturing challenge of the production system and play a significant part in increasing the resilience of it. However, each manufacturing system process comprises of several tasks with various resources and connections. Most algorithms will dramatically increase the computational complexity when the system changes dynamically or a resource fails throughout the process, therefore making it hard to apply to real industry. This study, on the other hand, introduces a heuristic-based method for scheduling energy consumption in a resource-sharing way, providing an effective fault-tolerant resource management technique for industrial systems.
