二郎神是一位在众多文学与影视作品出现的神话人物，而其中最为经典的形象之一，便是在神魔小说《西游记》中。尽管二郎神只在小说中出现了两次，还是凭着鲜明丰满的人物设定在读者的心目中留下了深刻的印象。即便如此，有关二郎神文学形象的研究大多涉及其他作品，鲜少有聚焦在《西游记》中进行深入的人物形象研究。本文深入论析二郎神在《西游记》中的外在特征与多面性格，以及在文本中与其他人物的人际关系。 论文共分五个部分。绪论除了简述论文动机，论述及评论与此论文相关的文献。第一章着重讨论二郎神的外在形象：俊美端庄的外貌，超群的战力和神通，以及政治与军事才能。第二章转方向讨论二郎神多面的性格：重情重义，狠辣与仁爱综合体，还有心高气傲的缺点。第三章专注分析二郎神与小说中其他人物的人际关系，包括孙悟空、玉帝、观音菩萨与佛道两家的神仙。 关键词：二郎神；《西游记》；性格；人物形象；人际关系 Er Lang Shen is a mythical character who has appeared in countless works of literature and television, with one of the most classic representations being the fantasy novel Journey to the West. Even though Er Lang Shen has only appeared twice in the novel, he has left a deep impression on readers due to his fresh and wholesome character design. Even so, the scope of research content on Er Lang Shen’s literary representations have been spread out across various works of literature, while precious few focusing their attention solely on Journey to the West to do an in-depth character study. This essay will discuss Er Lang Shen’s character from Journey to the West in-depth, his external features and multifaceted personality, and his representation’s relationships with other characters within the novel. This essay has five sections. The introduction introduces both the motivations behind the thesis, as well as the relevance of the various references in its content. The first chapter will heavily focus on discussing Er Lang Shen’s external features; namely, his handsome and regal appearance, his overwhelming combat power and divine abilities, and his political and military aptitude. The second chapter will discuss Er Lang Shen’s multifaceted personality: his cherishing of his family and friends, his conjunction of ruthlessness and compassion, and his flaws of pride and arrogance. The third chapter focuses on analyzing his relationships with other characters in the novel, including Sun Wu Kong, the Jade Emperor, the Guan Yin Bodhisattva, and the gods of both Taoism and Buddhism.
