This report documents the utility of the Misty robot as a concierge service such as those of in hotels. The project leverages Misty robot’s built-in functionalities such as image recognition, text-to-speech, and expressive display to provide comprehensive interaction in addition to image processing to collect vital information for hotel check-in. The project involves 4 main components: Misty robot as the customer front-end, a ReactJS Web Application for registrations, a FastAPI server with image processing capabilities as well as a MongoDB server as back-end persistence. This project aims to develop a framework for Misty robot to be used in concierge service with hotel services as a basic use case, with the potential to be deployed to other kinds of concierge such as restaurant front desk, wedding receptions, and event registration check-ins.
