By utilizing natural language processing (NLP) techniques, the web application allows users to summarize lengthy documents into shorter summaries while maintaining the important information. In this project, front-end technologies consist of HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascaded Style Sheet (CSS) and Javascript were utilized to build the user interface and presentation layer of the web application. Back-end technologies consist of Python, Flask and PostgreSQL were used to manage data and process necessary tasks for to support the frontend. Hierarchical Weight Sharing Transformers for Summarization (HIWESTSUM) and Text-to-Text-Transfer Transformer (T5) model were utilized for summarizing the documents.
