Potential highly skilled workers such as the undergraduates (N = 60) were used as the study sample. It was found that low national identification individuals and individuals who experienced a higher level of goal mismatch had a stronger intention to leave the country. Career and interpersonal goals showed no differential effect on the intention to leave the country. Goal importance had an effect on the intention to leave the country.
