Description
Summary:Despite the fact that dental health is a crucial component of overall health and wellbeing, many people disregard it as a result of ignorance or a lack of access to dental care. To address the lack of mobile applications that combine cavity teeth detection, teeth shade identification, educational articles on teeth health, and a booking system for dentists in a single app, and to raise dental health awareness among the general public, a cross-platform mobile application for dental self-examination is developed. The mobile application was created using a versatile and affordable architecture. It features tailored APIs to support the tooth shade recognition feature and cavity diagnosis algorithm, which were created utilizing color analysis method and cutting-edge object detection technology. The mobile application has been constructed successfully, and all its functions are working properly, according to multiple tests. The development of this prototype paves the way for the creation of a more reliable and comprehensive product in subsequent studies.
