Summary: | With the Dengue virus being such a prominent problem in the world today, this project focuses on the dengue virus and its E protein, which is the key for its entry into cells. This project aims to optimise a fusion assay using two methods: the first is by GFP/RFP fluorescence, the second by -galactosidase chemiluminescence. Although initial results were not the most favourable, adjustments in subsequent rounds have improved results. Experimental parameters will continue to be adjusted to further improve results, with hopes to move onto inhibitor studies. |
