Description
Summary:Computer Graphics is the synthesis of images with a computer, while visualization is the method of forming the image. Common geometry that is used in everyday life, such as planes, spheres, and cubes, can be displayed via various mathematical models. “CZ2003 Computer Graphics and Visualization”, an undergraduate course at Nanyang Technological University, aims to teach students the fundamentals of mathematics visualization, In addition, it focuses on conveying concepts that define various geometric shapes, colors, and transformations using analytical functions and algorithmic procedures. “Shape Explorer”, a software used in the course, computes either parametric or implicit formulas and renders a mathematical model of a two- or three-dimensional object through geometric and shape modeling. Besides the provision of textbooks and notes, the software is integral in imparting the fundamental knowledge and providing students with hands-on experience in rendering various mathematical shapes.
