以文图学视角对比《罗密欧与朱丽叶》的改编—— 以《罗密欧+朱丽叶》和《罗密欧 X 朱丽叶》为例 = A comparison of the anime and film adaptations of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" from a text and image studies perspective

As modes of entertainment continuously evolve with the advancement of the times, Romeo and Juliet has gained infinite vitality through cross-cultural, cross-media, and cross-linguistic adaptations, frequently reappearing in new forms before the public eye, and continues to serve educational and entertainment purposes today, a hundred years later. This article focuses on the analysis of two adaptations of Romeo and Juliet. The anime series Romeo X Juliet, which was broadcast for the first time in April 2007 by GONZO Corporation with head writer Reiko Yoshida in central Japan, and William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet, directed by Baz Luhrmann in 1996. Using Text and Image Studies as the basic framework, this article analyses both above works from various perspectives, including cultural background, visuals, plot, language, symbols, and other aspects. It aims to provide a comprehensive perspective to examine and compare the styles and techniques of the adaptations.
