Summary: | Waste is an unfortunate by-product as countries start to urbanize. Singapore is no exception to this;
Singapore have been tackling a waste problem with initiatives such as 3R being introduced to encourage the
public to reduce waste. However, many of the time, food is not directly applicable to such initiatives, one
can’t just “Recycle” food and is therefore discarded.
To tackle one of the many problems of food wastage, this project aims to develop a mobile application for
the community to share unfinished food with others such that the food can provide a second life before
reaching the waste bin.
The project starts with a study into the current waste situation globally & at home. Along with the project’s
predecessor’s application, identify features to include or improve for the mobile application. The project
then proceeds with designing & developing the mobile application based on the identified features.
Lastly, the project ensures the developed features are bug free by applying proper verification & testing
methodology. Concluding the project, future work is listed as continuous improvement to the project. |
