Description
Summary:This project presents the development and evaluation of a mobile application that is designed to address poor workplace ergonomics, to reduce prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in the Singaporean working population. The mobile application integrates machine learning together with ergonomic resources such as articles, videos, and demonstrations to promote ergonomic awareness and facilitate corrective action. A pre-survey was conducted to identify ergonomic gaps and needs in working adults, to determine the application’s content. Subsequently, a post-survey was employed to assess usability, effectiveness, and user satisfaction. Survey results revealed a high satisfaction rate, with over 90% of respondents expressing satisfaction with the application’s features, effectiveness, and usability. These results highlight the mobile application's ability to successfully address ergonomic issues and enhance the wellbeing of Singaporean workers.
