Summary: | Honey is a sweet tasting viscous liquid made by bees, and honey harvesting practices have grown in the last few decades. Studies have shown that the typical moisture content of honey ranges from 21 to 28%, an undesirable range for long periods of storage considering the fact that honey with moisture content above 17% contributes to the fermentation of honey[1]. In order to prevent the degradation of honey quality, dehydrating honey as a means to reduce moisture content should be considered.
Hence this project aims to create a honey dehydration system with monitoring capabilities implemented with the use of a sensor and web application. This will allow users to monitor changes in humidity and temperature within the smart honey dehydration system with convenience. |
