They often lack integration, resulting in fragmented communication channels and inefficient coordination among students. Freshmen transitioning may face several challenges, including: 1. Information Fragmentation: New students often struggle to navigate the vast array of resources and services available at the university. Information may be scattered across various platforms, leading to confusion and inefficiency in accessing essential resources. 2. Lack of Connectivity: Without a centralized platform, students may find it challenging to connect with peers who share similar academic interests or form study groups. This lack of connectivity hinders collaborative learning opportunities and peer support networks. 3. Academic Adjustment: MSc freshmen may encounter difficulties adjusting to the academic rigors of their programs, particularly if they are new to the university or country. Access to academic resources and support systems is crucial for their academic success and overall well-being. 4. Limited Collaboration Opportunities: Traditional classroom settings may not always facilitate effective collaboration and knowledge-sharing among students. Without dedicated platforms for organizing study groups or virtual study sessions, students may miss out on valuable opportunities for collaborative learning. To address this challenge, this project aims to develop a holistic mobile platform, named CAMPLUS+, tailored specifically to the unique needs of NTU MSc freshmen. Drawing upon existing research and practical insights, the CAMPLUS+ app encompasses various aspects of campus life, offering a wide range of functionalities beyond traditional academic resources. One of the key features of the CAMPLUS+ app is its study group function, which empowers students to foster collaborative learning environments and connect with peers who share similar academic interests. Through this feature, students can initiate study rooms, enabling the formation of study groups and virtual study sessions. This facilitates collaboration and knowledge-sharing within a supportive academic community, ultimately enhancing the learning experience for MSc freshmen. Moreover, the integration of Zoom functionality within the CAMPLUS+ app enables seamless transition to virtual study sessions. Participants can engage in real-time discussions, share resources, and collaborate on assignments, further enriching the learning experience and fostering a sense of community among students. In conclusion, the development and implementation of the CAMPLUS+ mobile application represent a significant step towards enhancing campus connectivity and fostering a more inclusive and dynamic learning environment at NTU. By leveraging mobile technology to promote lifelong learning, the app aims to empower MSc freshmen to navigate their transition into university life with confidence and success.
