This sentence was mentioned by Martin Heidegger in his speech "The Age of World Picture". Images are irreplaceable in the future, widely utilized in daily lives of people in the 21st century. Static images such as leaflets, posters, photos; dynamic images such as advertisements, movies and more are all easily seen in common areas in the public. In addition, cameras and video cameras can also capture every detail that can be seen with the naked eyes into photos or videos respectively,is considered as image text too. In terms of education, libraries and bookstores carries reading materials that involves image text which can be used to enhance understanding. For example, encyclopedias are accompanied by relevant images, and school textbooks are gradually added with appropriate illustrations. Comics and picture books are combination of images and text, which can also be regarded as a whole image. Some comics with educational connotations have even become necessary reading materials for teachers when teaching in schools and have become one of a common teaching material. "Little White Dragon" is a famous comic series in primary and secondary schools in Singapore, self-evidencing the importance of comics. "Little White Dragon" uses simple drawing techniques and hypothetical artistic expressions of “Dragon” to depict and narrate Chinese historical and cultural stories through the art form of comics. It uses colloquial bubble text as a communication method for the characters to achieve modernization. These interests the readers to develop reading habits and be integrated with the social situation in Singapore, showing a relatively fresh direction of answering the problem. This article will analyze the core content and narrative method of the Singaporean comic "Little White Dragon" from the perspective of text and image studies. Also, to make a general summary of the teaching significance of the comic teaching method of the "Little White Dragon" series, putting the comic teaching method in application based on the current education system in Singapore.
