Summary: | This project started because the demand in integrating many sensors to perform condition monitoring is becoming more relevant. Therefore, there is a need to design a multi-sensor system that can perform the expected function of performing some processing of the sensors and present the desired parameters or alarm the operator of the change that might be bad. The project aims to design the hardware of the multi-sensor system by modifying the already existing development board to fit a more stringent requirements of the board.
The project starts with the requirements of the project, making some decisions of how to proceed (software used, etc), modifying the existing schematic, simulation, PCB design, the fabrication of the board, and the testing of the board. After going through the development process, the final result is the design of the original intended board and the power board. The power board can be used in the next stage of the board to supply a regulated power to the microcontroller or debugger circuit.
This project has laid the foundation for further development of the multi-sensor system by providing a regulated power to any board that will be connected to the power board. The future progress can be the design of the debugger or microcontroller circuit to perform the desired function. This design can refer to the existing development board schematic and pcb design or the finished design provided in this report. |
