Summary: | When we were deciding on a topic for our dissertation, we felt we would research on something that we had some prior knowledge of, and at the same time meaningful or relevant to at least an identifiable group of professionals. This was so that we could value add on the research with our personal experiences. The hype about the Internet caught our attention. We discovered during our literature search that there was very little published information available on local Internet usage. A highlight of this report is therefore its distinctive Singapore flavour. We felt that it would benefit the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a local Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) tremendously if we could put in a local dimension to the report -and even more so if we could tell him or her how this strongly emerging technology was going to affect his or her business. |
