Summary: | This project produces an ITS that explicitly develops generic cognitive skills. It is based on the List-making game of Epistemic Games defined by Prof Collins. The ITS is named EpiList. EpiList I implicitly develops cognitive skills while explicitly develops the content knowledge. EpiList II explicitly develops the skills and A-EpiList is adaptive to students' cognitive preferences. This project proposed two methodologies, formal definition and system representation, to address the issuses of ITS. The formal definition method overcomes the ambiguity of ITS while the system resprentation provides a guideline to design, develop and analyze ITS. |
