Increasing demands for personal mobile communication equipment have motivated recent research activities to focus on the development of inexpensive, small size, low power consumption and low noise level systems in CMOS process. This dissertation describes the design of a 1.8 V CMOS switch in CSM 0.18 um technology. A new Technique was introduced to optimize gate width in order to minimize the insertion loss. This switch exhibits less 1.5 dB insertion loss over a range of 0 - 10 GHz. The switch also has adequate isolation, power-handling capability.
