Such a navigation strategy relies on identification and subsequent recognition of distinctive environment features or objects that are either known a prior or extracted dynamically. This process is inherently difficult in practice due to noise in sensors and changes in the real world. This dissertation is to study the various existing navigating technologies via natural landmark, and, identify the major areas that are most commonly used, and to discuss appropriate applications for using these technologies.
