Description
Summary:The demand of DSP applications and their VLSI implementations is ever increasing. Arithmetic computations in these systems are often required and become an important aspect of the designs. In this work, the efficiency of arithmetic modules in speed and hardware cost is studied and improved to optimize their performance. Particularly, the algorithms for computing the trigonometric functions such as sine, cosine, hyperbolic Sine/Cosine, reciprocal and logarithm are studied. Their hardware implementations are carried out.
