They are also losing interest in their culture as they perceived them as old and traditional. Personally as a Singapore Hakka , I have felt these effects among other young Hakkas. The Hakka encapsulates values and heritage that is worth conserving, thus I feel a need to promote such cultures to culture deficient youths, and also by doing this encouraging diversity in a commodified society of Singapore. This paper discusses means of using graphic design as a bridge to bring across Hakka culture to the youthful audience by representing it with a refreshing way. It also explores the formation of graphic systems and its application via a cultural artifact.
