U.S. had since 1967, lost its self-sufficiency in domestic petroleum capacity. Using the 4As - Availability (AV), Applicability (AP), Acceptability (AC) and Affordability (AF) as an evaluation framework, this study examines key energy policies implemented starting from the transition point of Nixon Administration in 1969 to the Bush Junior Administration.
