The idea of what it would be like to be a creative person in such a future and the explorative possibilities it entailed provided an interesting angle from which to approach this project. Blade Runner - Future Visuals is a project through which I will imagine myself as a visual artist & designer operating a studio, in a hypothetical future specific to the Blade Runner (1982) film universe. I will create art, illustration, design and facets of visual material relevant to the spirit of the film. This positioning is meant to be a springboard for creative interpretation and visual exploration and not a ‘by the numbers’ approach or attempt at defining a ‘right’ look for this imagined future. This is a project based on inspired fiction.
