Most current elevator group control systems focus on reducing the waiting time of the passengers. This research embarks in a different direction. In making the car assignment decision, the proposed elevator control system in this research considers not only the passengers combination of waiting time but also the riding time and the number of passengers inside the elevator. Thus, the car selected should have a reasonable waiting time, riding time and crowding ratio.
