Summary: | This project aims at constructing a distributed global e-learning system architecture. We present the use cases and a functional model for e-learning system, which is compatible with the LTSA (Learning Technology Systems Architecture) standard. This functional model defines components that make up a typical e-learning system.
We place our emphasis on e-learning system architecture. An architecture-driven approach is taken for constructing a global distributed e-learning system.
In this architecture, we also shipped a framework named WAF (Web Application Framework) with the J2EE platform. Lastly, a prototype of the e-learning system has been implemented to show how the design of the LMS can be realized on the J2EE platform*. |
