An architecture-driven approach is taken for constructing a global distributed e-learning system. In this architecture, we also shipped a framework named WAF (Web Application Framework) with the J2EE platform. Lastly, a prototype of the e-learning system has been implemented to show how the design of the LMS can be realized on the J2EE platform*.
