Summary: | In the long run, an ecologically sustainable energy supply can only be guaranteed by the integration of renewable resources. Besides water power, which is already well established, wind energy is by far the most technically advanced of all renewable power sources, and its economic breakthrough the closest. With a few exceptions, wind power will be used mostly for generating electricity.
Recently, exploring renewable energy sources attracts a lot of attention of research. Wind energy is one of the valuable options for pollution-free power generation.
This thesis describes the preliminary study of the controller design for variable-speed wind generators, especially the intermediate DC circuit and the PWM inverter part. The major objective of this project is to control DC_BUS voltage which can make it to be constant using PI controller. Simulink program is a good way to make it. |
