Besides water power, which is already well established, wind energy is by far the most technically advanced of all renewable power sources, and its economic breakthrough the closest. With a few exceptions, wind power will be used mostly for generating electricity. Recently, exploring renewable energy sources attracts a lot of attention of research. Wind energy is one of the valuable options for pollution-free power generation. This thesis describes the preliminary study of the controller design for variable-speed wind generators, especially the intermediate DC circuit and the PWM inverter part. The major objective of this project is to control DC_BUS voltage which can make it to be constant using PI controller. Simulink program is a good way to make it.
