Development of high performance ultra wide band low noise amplifier

This report covers an in-depth research and review of topologies. Topologies such as their gain, linearity, noise and other design aspects were considered. In order to develop a high performance low noise amplifier, research is required to study upon the most important aspect such as gain, linearity...

Topologies such as their gain, linearity, noise and other design aspects were considered. In order to develop a high performance low noise amplifier, research is required to study upon the most important aspect such as gain, linearity and noise of two topologies such as current reuse and cascode topologies. Discussion was made between the performance of these two topologies and in search of the best possible topologies to fit into the project objectives. After comparing the strength and weaknesses of the topologies, choices are taken and further improvement is made so that the chosen topologies can reach the final objectives. Literature review is done so as to search for better techniques made available for implementation in the work and to allow the final topology to perform in its optimum condition.
