Description
Summary:This project investigates into normalizing the inside temperature of a car with the environmental conditions via the Air Circulation. The work necessitates fabricating a 1m2 prototype glass housing having a light source in which solar panels are used to generate electricity. A DC 12V power rating fan is used to maintain the inside temperature of a car or room comparable with the outside or ambient temperature is studied. Under different situations the heat that is built-up inside a passenger compartment of a car when it is parked under the sun, as well as parameters to initiate the compartment cooling by forced convection method to improve the efficiency of the air circulation of a car to achieve the temperature normalization with the outside temperature are investigated and discussed in this report. Thermocouples are mounted at various locations of the glass box to study the different temperature profiles both during operations and without air circulation. The ability of maintaining the cool temperature inside an enclosed compartment when compared with the ambient temperature is discussed.
