This final year project report first provides an overview of the previous version of TPS system, while examine its shortcomings through testing of its various functions using actual data. Uncompleted functions and inappropriate constraints are them implemented and resolved in the new version of the TPS system developed in this project. From feedback of the users, new functions are also added, which requires redesigning of the database with new table added into the database. In order to improve the TPS system reliability and efficiency, the new TPS system is transferred from a Windows platform to Linux platform. As a result, after integration with previous functions, the TPS system provides new functions, which includes the Import STARS, Export the Staff Sample file and Maintain Lesson Index Group functionality. This report also evaluates and compares the performance of the previous version with the new version of TPS system, which shows that the new TPS system is largely completed with much fewer bugs compared with the previous version of TPS system.
