Description
Summary:Multilayer structured film of graphene and polyaniline was fabricated by the layer-by-layer assembly technique using dip coating. A precursor layer of branched polyethylenimine was deposited to assist in a more stable build up of subsequent graphene and polyaniline layers. The completed multilayer film was reduced by hydrazine monohydrate and conductivity measured by 4-point probe was found to increase by about 125 times to 0.55 S/cm. AFM images presented random flake structures of graphene and Raman spectroscopy were used to determine the presence of its oxidised and reduced states. Reoxidation/redoping of the reduced film using oxidising agent, ferric chloride, showed a 1.7 times increase of conductivity to 0.93 S/cm.
