Similarly, the increase of PEO concentration results in longer average diameters in the produced fibres. The electrospinning of blended solution prepared from chitosan and PEO was affected by the chitosan/PEO mass ratio and the aging of blended solution owing to chitosan-PEO phase separation. Several types of electrospinning patterns were also observed and were utilized to explain the formation of flawed chitosan fibers.
