However based on this technology, there are not many applications to visualize human emotions. In this project, the EEG based emotion recognition algorithm is revised and a 3D interactive computer game is designed to recognize human emotion in real time and visualize emotions by body movement of a 3D penguin avatar and the changing color of lighting. In order to achieve that, Autodesk Maya 2011 is used to model and animate the penguin character to create animation clips expressing 6 kinds of basic emotions: sad, frustrated, fear, pleasant, satisfied and happy. Then, the Unreal Development Kit is used to design the level of snow house and play the respective animation clips when certain emotion is detected from the Emotiv headset. This project adds an implementation of emotion visualization by using the expression of body movement and light color. For further improvement, more idea can be used to express emotions such as texture and moving speed. Moreover, display the opposite expression of the detected emotion can be used for negative emotion therapy.
