Description
Summary:Diabetes is one of the leading illnesses in the world. Aside from what diabetes can cause other illness to arise. The patient also experienced discomfort during medical test. A non-invasive medical measurement device needed to cater to this ever-growing group of user. Pulse wave is basic yet fundamental living body signal for disease diagnosis. The style of existent pulse wave can reflects the health of individual. However, when accuracy of measurement is concern, the pulse wave will hinder the accuracy of the measurement. This project aims to reduce the motion cause by the pulse in the vein of the measure finger by mechanical means. In this report, the author presents the design and development of finger holder for blood glucose measurement. Study of anthropometric of the human will gives a better understanding on the design requirement for the design. This report will also be reviewing the previous work done, current mechanical design and functions. The pros and cons of the design and improvisation will be analyzed. Being a modular design is the main advantage of the design, where future work could take place with minimal changes made.
