Description
Summary:DVB-T2 is an abbreviation for Digital Video Broadcasting – Second Generation Terrestrial; it is the extension of the television standard DVB-T, issued by the consortium DVB, devised for the broadcast transmission of digital terrestrial television. The main objective is to explore the channel coding and modulation technique used by DVB-T2 and assess the QOS parameters obtained from stimulation program using Matlab. This report presents the stimulation results on the DVB-T2’s Bit Interleaved Coding and Modulation Module. Some basic theories on DVB-T and DVB-T2 specifications will be discussed, mainly on the general structure and the BICM module. Next, the stimulation design program is presented, by describing the configuration of the input parameters used as well as the procedures and methodologies involved. Finally, the analysis of the stimulation data and results will be presented and discussed.
