Nonlinear control designs for hard disk drive servos

This thesis presents research results on control issue in head positioning mechatronics for hard disk drive (HDD) servo system. Specifically, nonlinear control algorithms are developed to compensate or overcome control limitations and design tradeoffs due to linear feedback control.
