Description
Summary:The purpose of this report is to allow me to share my experience in designing, developing, and implementing noSQL solution for various sentiment analysis software components namely: the Review/Opinion Search Engine ROSE and the social media monitoring system ROSEBUD. The main focus of the report will be on reviewing the current database solution for ROSE and suggesting new noSQL solution to greatly improve the ROSE data access speed and remove existing bottlenecks. The scope includes the discussion on the choices of software tools and technology to implement the new noSQL solution, the design of data models in the noSQL solution, the design, development and implementation of a data support software application to perform data function such as data migration, synchronization, and benchmarking between the old database solution and the new noSQL solution. Benchmarking experiments are then performed and analyzed to validate that the new noSQL solution has indeed met its design goal of enhancing the ROSE data access speed. The secondary focus of the report will be on extending the noSQL solution for the ROSEBUD social media monitoring system and the enhancing of functionality of the ROSEBUD twitter crawler component.
