Description
Summary:This is a project concerned with issues of modern communication in extreme environments whereby traditional IP protocols fail to deliver reliable communication in challenged environments such as deep space, noisy wireless networks or the highly dynamic mobile net. Imagine the possibility of communication over vast distances or disruptive networks. The solution is to bridge the existing infrastructure running Internet Protocol (IP) and the Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) with a “transparent” proxy. Since there a research group dedicated to tackle such issues with new protocols; it is viable to use the sources available from them via internet and attempt to see if it is a feasible solution. In essence, it is the ability of the DTN daemon to store-and-forward bundles as and when needed over an arbitrary number of intermediate notes.
