Summary: | In attempt to promote interest in learning the Ministry of Education (MOE) has developed Master plan 3 (2009-2014) (1) with the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enrich learning and boost critical competencies among students. Educators are now looking into integrating 3D immersive technology into learning to stir student’s interest and motivation to learn.
This project looks at developing a 3D immersive gaming environment using unity 3.4 (2) as game engine with the use of persuasive technology to boost students’ enthusiasm for learning. In the game, the player will get to experience an open world concept which allows them to discover the world with plenty of freedom. The Player will get to experience a whole new form of immersion from a different approach. Instead of alluring player with captivating stories, the game actively shows player what kind of impact the player has on the world. It is design with the goal of empowering learners to become critical thinkers who are urgently optimistic and willing to tackle problems and aim for success. |
