Description
Summary:Technological advancement has made image resizing a common thing for everyone nowadays. One basic purpose of image resizing is to produce better display and also to allow the viewer to see the picture at a further distance. However, one disadvantage of resizing images is that the quality will be degraded. Therefore, the aim ofthis project is to do a study on a technique widely used in resizing images: Interpolation. The comparison is done based on the error performance, by varying the methods used for interpolation. The aim of this comparison is to find the interpolation method which produces the best results in terms of error performance. These comparisons will be mainly carried out in MATLAB R20 1 Ob. R20 1 Ob is the 64bit version of MATLAB R2010. The reason of using this version is because the samples considered in this project have huge dimensions, therefore rendering it impossible for the 32bit version to process.
