Because of this, robots are widely used all over the world in many different industries and for various purposes. One such example would be in the healthcare industry where robots are currently being developed to perform as nurses. These robots are able to visually identify individual patients by their faces and carefully pick them up and carry them to another location. In such situations, providing the robots with humanlike capabilities and reactions such as facial recognition and physical gestures would make them more easily acceptable by patients. Much research has been done in the field of robotics solely to make robots more lifelike and also to behave more naturally.
