The significance for this project finds itself in the current rising trend of social media in Singapore. In 2010, 82% of Singaporean were on social networks and 55% on blogs (com score media). Singapore, a place known for conservatism and strict social controls (BBC news, 2011) is seeing an outward expression of the individual on the online space, this exhibits the changing representation and exploration of self in today’s digital age.
