Description
Summary:Currently, drug discovery and development is extremely expensive and time consuming, which results in low rates of new drugs reaching the market. One solution to alleviating this problem is to gain a better understanding of existing drug-cell interactions that will provide valuable insights into drug redeployment and new drug design. Protein and metabolite concentrations represent sensitive markers of cellular responses to drug treatment. Consequently, developing robust cell line-based proteomics and metabolomics platforms will greatly facilitate understanding of drug-cell interactions.
