Methods: Physical activity monitoring using triaxial accelerometers was conducted on 119 Primary One students. 20-meter shuttle run test was used to determine cardiovascular fitness. Anthropometric measurements were done for assessment of health status. Results: There was a significant positive correlation (p < 0.05) between moderate-to-vigorous physical activity and cardiovascular fitness. Participants engaged in 44.97 ± 14.50 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity on weekdays, and 38.52 ± 22.36 minutes on weekends. Conclusion: Singaporean children at Primary school entry level do not engage in recommended daily moderate-to-vigorous physical activity required for cardiovascular health and fitness.
